This webinar series was co-organized by NOVA BHRE and the Instituto de Derechos Humanos y Empresas of the Universidad de Monterrey, in collaboration with the Academia Latinoamericana de Derechos Humanos y Empresas and the Teaching Business and Human Rights Forum. It counted with the participation of academics and researchers from different countries in Latin America, including Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Chile, Brazil, and Argentina. The sessions were carried out in Spanish and Portuguese.
This series of webinars aimed to examine the current and future regulatory landscape on human rights and business in Latin America, as well as discuss the challenges to particular themes, such as access to remedies for corporate human rights abuses, extractivism and renewable energies, and land rights and indigenous people’s rights.
