ELSA Portugal’s Legal Research Group on Business and Human Rights

The second edition of ELSA Portugal’s Legal Research Group on Business and Human Rights was launched in October 2023 in collaboration with the NOVA BHRE.  This edition’s topic will be the revised OCDE Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises on Responsible Business Conduct with the aim to examine the significant changes that have been incorporated in relation to human and labour rights, bribery and corruption, the environment and climate change, and the work and procedures of the National Contact Points (NCPs) for Responsible Business Conduct, as well as the opportunities and challenges arising from these changes. The Academic Board is constituted by Laura Íñigo Álvarez and Sara Rentroia Pacheco.

One of the first activities of ELSA’s Legal Research Group has been an informative session organised in collaboration with the Portuguese NCP and delivered by Lidia Farropas, Pedro Marques and Pedro Pinheiro. The recording of the session is available at  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_-1EV5l8u58
