Teresa Violante

Research Fellow at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg

Teresa Violante studied law in Coimbra, Utrecht and London. She holds a European Master’s Degree in Human Rights and Democratization from the Università Degli Studi di Padova and worked as a Law Clerk for the Portuguese Constitutional Court. She is currently a research fellow at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg and a visiting research fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law in Heidelberg. She focuses her research on the role of constitutional courts in contemporary democracies and has authored several publications on Constitutional Law and Comparative Constitutional Law.
