Anaïs Tobalagba is a Business and Human Rights Consultant and a Visiting Researcher at the NOVA Centre on Business, Human Rights and the Environment. With expertise in human rights and environmental due diligence in the context of extractive industries and the energy transition, she currently conducts legal and policy research for UK-based corporate watchdog Rights and Accountability in Development (RAID). Anaïs also specialises in bringing a gender dimension to the business and human rights debate. She holds a PhD in International Human Rights Law from the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) where she researched the potential of international business and human rights standards to prevent violence against women. She has published and co-published articles on women’s rights in business in blogs and journals that include the Interpreter, Third World Quarterly and the Australian Human Rights Journal, among others.
