Brent Petterson

Master's student, Research Associate

Brent Petterson is enrolled in the master’s degree in International and European Law at NOVA School of Law. He holds a bachelor’s degree in European Studies from NHL Stenden University of Applied Sciences (The Netherlands). During the course of his bachelor’s degree, he worked together with various governmental authorities on climate-related topics, completed a minor in European law & human rights and studied international relations in Türkiye. Further, he completed an internship at the Consulate General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Düsseldorf, Germany.

Outside of his studies, he partook in several short-term exchange programs throughout Europe to engage with likeminded youth and to increase his European environmental awareness. He is passionate about topics related to the climate, the sustainable & green transition and environmental policies. Therefore, his areas of interest are corporate sustainable responsibility, European corporate policies and accountability of businesses for their environmental impacts.
