Maria Kaizeler

Research Assistant, Undergraduate student

Maria Kaizeler is an undergraduate Law student at NOVA School of Law, currently in her second year, with a strong academic interest in human rights, sustainability, and international and European law. Her academic path has been marked by active engagement in legal simulations, academic conferences, and institutional initiatives, alongside a consistent focus on policy-oriented legal analysis and interdisciplinary approaches.

Maria is a Research Assistant at the NOVA Research Centre on Business, Human Rights and the Environment, where she contributes to the Centre’s academic and institutional activities, supporting research initiatives at the intersection of corporate responsibility, environmental protection, and human rights.

In parallel, she is actively involved in civil society initiatives, including the UN Women HeForShe movement and Thirst Project Portugal, where she works on advocacy, external relations, and awareness-raising initiatives related to gender equality and global water access.
