Thais Cirne is a Ph.D. Candidate in Civil Procedural Law at NOVA School of Law and a research fellow of Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia (FCT). She holds a master’s degree in Civil Procedural Law from the University of Coimbra (UC) and a law degree from the Catholic University of Salvador (Universidade Católica do Salvador/ UCSAL). She is also post graduated in Human Rights by the Ius Gentium Conimbrigae (IGC) and is currently attending a postgraduation in Negotiation, Mediation and Conflict Resolution at the Instituto de Certificação e Formação de Mediadores Lusófonos (ICFML). She is a lawyer in Brazil and in Portugal, a member of Amnesty International Portugal and Coordinate of Communication at the Jurists Group of Amnesty International Portugal. Her main areas of expertise are: Civil Procedural Law, Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) and Human Rights.
