For over a year, Dussu has been a Research Assistant at Nova BHRE. She is a fourth-year student at NOVA School of Law and has worked in the gender equality field through the HeForShe movement.

Dussu has interned at Linklaters in Dispute Resolution, Vieira de Almeida in Social Economy & Human Rights and Espanha e Associados in Labour Law. It was during her internship at Vieira de Almeida that she first engaged with Business and Human Rights. Since then, she has remained committed to developing a greater knowledge of what Business, Human Rights, and the Environment entails.

In the centre she manages the website and helps in the organization of events, having opened the episode on “Corporate Due Diligence and Gender Equality” of the webinar series “Business and Human Rights in Europe: Connecting the Dots” organized by the centre in partnership with the Portuguese Presidency of the Council of the European Union. Dussu also prepares grants applications, assists in external relations and internal management matters, and does a variety of research activities such as reviewing articles.

Additionally, she is currently working on the research project “Improving the effectiveness of non-judicial remedies for business-related human rights abuses”.
