Period of Visiting: November 2024 

Dr Chiara Macchi is Assistant Professor of Law at the Wageningen University – Law Group and author of the book ‘Business, Human Rights and the Environment: The Evolving Agenda’ (Springer, 2022). A former Marie Sklodowska-Curie Researcher, her research focuses on corporate accountability for transnational impacts on human rights, the environment and climate change. She also focuses on the business and human rights implications of the ‘just transition’. Chiara leads the academic course ‘Law of Marine Environments and Resources’ and directs the summer school ‘Business and Human Rights’.
