Gabriel Araujo

PhD Candidate, Research Associate

Gabriel Araujo is an independent consultant specializing in Business and Human Rights (BHR) and Responsible Business Conduct. He is currently a PhD candidate at Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, where his research focuses on the development of mandatory Human Rights Due Diligence (HRDD). Gabriel holds a Master of Law (LL.M.) in International and European Union Law from the University of Amsterdam, following a Bachelor of Law from NOVA Law School. He also pursued postgraduate studies in ESG and Corporate Sustainability at Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV) in Brazil. As a Research Associate at NOVA BHRE, Gabriel has contributed to multiple research projects and activities in the field of business and human rights. His recent work includes collaborations with the BHRJ Blog and CEDIS, where he has published articles on pressing issues in the field.
